Our Services

At the Immigrant Welcome Network of Johnson County, we understand that the journey of resettlement can be daunting for newly arrived immigrant families and low-income individuals. That’s why we offer a comprehensive range of programs and services designed to provide holistic support and empower individuals to thrive in their new communities.

Temporary Housing

We provide temporary housing solutions to ensure newly arrived immigrants and refugees have a safe and stable place to reside during their transition.

Employment Assistance

We offer job readiness classes, resume workshops, and job placement assistance to help individuals secure meaningful employment opportunities.

Empowerment Programs

Through our job readiness classes, ESL courses, and leadership classes, we equip immigrants and refugees with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in their new community.

Community Resources

Our team assists newcomers in navigating the complexities of their new environment by connecting them with essential resources and services, including healthcare, education, legal support, and more.

Permanent Housing Support

We advocate for affordable housing options and provide support throughout the rental application process, ensuring that individuals can access safe and sustainable housing.

Advocacy Initiatives

We advocate for systemic change and policy reforms to address issues such as affordable housing, tenant rights, and immigration policy, amplifying the voices of immigrants and refugees.

Mentorship Programs

Our mentorship program pairs immigrants and refugees with experienced local mentors who provide guidance, support, and encouragement throughout the first five years of transitioning into a new community.  Mentors not only help immigrants and refugees navigate the complexities of resettlement, but also assist in developing leadership skills and empowering individuals to advocate for themselves and others within their community.
